FOUNDATION FOR THEOSOPHICAL STUDIES SUMMER SCHOOL 2010

We are delighted to announce that this year's Summer School will be in Liverpool for the first time but hopefully not the last.
We will be using two Halls of Residence( Derby and Rathbone and Rosco and Gladstone) set in the lovely grounds of the Greenbank Conference Park, part of the University of Liverpool.
To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of one of Theosophy's staunchest advocates we have as our theme "Deity,Cosmos and Man" the title of one of Geoffrey Farthing's most important books.
We are pleased to welcome as our chief guest speaker Dr David Roef who will give the prestigious Blavatsky Lecture on the Sunday afternoon and a puplic lecture at the Friend's meeting House in Liverpool on the Tuesday evening. Dr Roef is a lecturer in criminal law at the University of Maastrict (The Netherlands) and is an associate of the United Lodge of Theosophists. He has spent the past 20 years studying the life and teachings of H P Blavatsky and WQ Judge and has lectured and written several articles on Ancient and Modern Theosophy.Anyone who attended the 2009 European School of theosophy in Budapest will know what an enthuiastic and knowledgeable speaker he is!
Every day there will be lectures given by prominant members of the Theosophical Society and a choice of morning study groups covering a range of subjects from The Secret Doctrine and The Mahatma Letters to meditation and practical theosophy.n the afternoon we offer a choice of workshops which include art, esoteric palmistry, reflexology, Chi Kung and sacred dance. The evenings are more relaxed and culminate in a highly entertaining concert given by the delegates.
This Summer school gives a wonderful opportunity to anyone interested in esoteric philosophy to commune with like-minded people and to experence the underlying brotherhood and unity of humanity.
